I attended the Generational Planning Seminar in May and found it genuinely useful. I came in thinking I already had most of my records sorted, but the session helped me see several gaps I hadn't considered. The facilitator was clear about what the session was and what it wasn't — she mentioned at least twice that certain things would need a solicitor or Thai legal professional, which I appreciated. Felt very organised and not at all pressuring.

We did the Family Business Succession Workshop for our family's logistics operation. It was more practical than I expected — less theoretical, more actual work. We left with a draft handover outline that our operations team has been building on since. The morning was a bit dense, but the structure was solid. Would be useful for anyone in a similar position who hasn't started thinking about this yet.

The Legacy Conversation session was something I wasn't sure about booking — I thought it might feel awkward or too formal. In practice it was neither. The facilitator asked useful questions beforehand and structured the session in a way that made it easy for my mother and I to say things we'd been putting off. We both left with a clearer sense of what we each wanted, written down. That alone was worth it.

As an expat with assets in two countries I've been meaning to get my documents in order for years. The seminar gave me a useful structure for thinking about what I need, and more importantly, pointed me to the right professionals to go to next. They were honest that this wasn't a session for getting answers — it was for getting better questions. That framing helped me a lot.

We booked the family facilitation session after a difficult experience following an uncle's passing where no one knew where anything was or what he had wanted. I was sceptical at first — thought it was just going to be a standard workshop. It was much more personal than that. The notes we received afterward have actually been acted on by the family, which I didn't expect.

Bangkok (attended Si Racha session)

Attended the succession workshop with my business partner. We've been avoiding this conversation for two years. Having Panya there to guide the discussion meant we could be honest about concerns without it becoming a negotiation. We came away with a timeline that both of us actually signed off on. I'd recommend it to any long-standing business partners who need a structured way in to that conversation.

Three Families, Three Starting Points

A Retired Couple, Documents Scattered Across Two Countries

SITUATION

A British-Thai couple retired in Chonburi had property, accounts, and insurance documents spread across the UK and Thailand with no coherent inventory. Neither had a clear picture of what existed, where it was held, or what the other person would need access to if something happened.

SESSION

The couple attended the Generational Planning Seminar. The session gave them a framework for categorising what they had and a checklist of what was typically missing. The facilitator signposted them to official UK and Thai government resources for specific documentation questions.

OUTCOME

Within six weeks of the session, both had compiled a shared document inventory and identified three items requiring professional input. They subsequently engaged a Thai solicitor for one of those items. "We knew roughly what we had, but the seminar helped us see what we were missing. That list turned out to be quite important."

A Family Business with No Succession Plan and an Approaching Retirement

SITUATION

A family-owned import distribution business in Si Racha had been run by the founder for 22 years. His eldest daughter was being informally prepared to take over, but no timeline existed, roles were unclear, and several key processes existed only in the founder's memory.

SESSION

The founder and his daughter attended the half-day Succession Workshop together. The session mapped out current roles, identified which operational knowledge needed to be documented, and produced a draft handover timeline. The facilitator kept the focus strictly on operations, flagging ownership and legal questions for professional advisers.

OUTCOME

Three months after the session, two key processes had been documented and the daughter had taken on formal responsibility for the supplier relationships mapped in the session. A handover date is now set. "We had the general intention but no plan. The workshop gave us the plan."

A Family That Had Been Avoiding a Necessary Conversation for Two Years

SITUATION

An elderly parent and three adult children had been unable to discuss long-term arrangements despite the parent's wish to communicate her intentions clearly. Each conversation had stalled due to discomfort or disagreement about tone. One sibling lived abroad, complicating the dynamics further.

SESSION

The facilitator conducted individual intake calls with each family member before the session. The session itself was held across two meetings to accommodate the overseas sibling by video. Structured prompts allowed each person to speak without the conversation collapsing into debate.

OUTCOME

The family left with a written record of the parent's wishes in her own words, agreed by all four to be accurate. The parent subsequently used that document in a meeting with her solicitor. "We couldn't have done it without someone else in the room. The written notes are something we'll keep."
